Detailed JB today- re- screened a busted screen, and cleaned every nook and cranny. Ready for action. Kim is the best detailer/screen idea person. Plus- she’s German, so everything goes in its place. Look at those shiny tires! Let’s get it on people. Xoxo
Sutter Buttes Annie Brown Ale is my Westy Co-pilot. Wonderful session ale from the little known gem of a brewery that makes fine use of Peter Hoey’s (former brewmaster of odonata and sacramento brew co.) recipes - not sure what happened there - but they should’ve paid him 8 million a year for 10 seasons, but they are a small market ball club after all. Do yourself a favor whenever you are in Yuba City, CA and enjoy their burger, a Franklin ipa, and taste the retired brewmaster’s recipes still on tap. Helluva gratzer too. Good beer for a westy ride.
This weekend we made a trip to the American river. Ruck a Chuckee campground is deep in the auburn ravine down windy rocky roads, no problem for the Go Westy 2.1 liter, 16 inch wheels and the freshly hacked bumpin’ sound system (on the cheap - less than 200 bucks). Packed along the wife, boy, two dogs, the weber smokey mountain, fishing rods, and a load of freshly pastured pork and greens from our farm. This is why we westy love. It honestly doesn’t get any better.
